Allen Residence - Hillsborough, CA

The clients wanted to remodel their California ranch-style home and enlarge their Garden Room to match the other recent remodeled colonial-style areas. The remodeled room now features a dormered French doorway to the gardens, wood columns, ceiling and walls that are trellised, and a French limestone floor.

The client subsequently requested a design for a guest suite addition to their home.

The solution not only added the guest suite, but by placing it as a new second floor, creatively transformed the house into the true colonial-style home that the owners had always yearned for. "The house does not look like it has been added to, but better, as though it had always been meant to be this way."
