The request to coordinate the exterior re-painting led to the selection of a new color scheme for the eight story HUD project.
The accepted proposal related to the residential building's new eight-story mural, revitalized the building's appearance, improved its relationship to the neighborhood and enhanced the multi-cultural residents' feeling about their home and subsequently about themselves.
The construction for the subsequent Master Plan's Phase One included a new Administration Department and the handicap facilitation of the main entrance.
The new entry rejuvenated the sidewalk presence with street-trees, lush landscaping, and a front porch-entry pavilion that added a residential identity to a previously monolithic international-styled edifice.
